Founded in 2002 by hospitality industry veteran Alan Fuerstman, Montage Hotels & Resorts delivers an unmatched experience in the ultra-luxury market. Co-founded by Alan and Michael Fuerstman in 2015, Pendry was born into the lineage of Montage Hotels & Resorts, elevating design and service for a new luxury traveler – a worldly, modern-day explorer. At each Pendry location, we’ve embraced art, music and design, within the culture of the neighborhood, combining them in each hotel and residence with our unspoken list of non-negotiables; simple luxury, clean design, well-crafted restaurant experiences, vibrant bars and that perfect balance of polished comfort and modern edge.

We consider not only how Montage and Pendry are expressed via the guest experience, but also where each hotel is located – and perhaps more importantly, where they are not located.Only a limited number of locations worldwide can support the ultra-luxury positioning and rate required to successfully execute the Montage brand, so we are defined as much by our restraint as we are by our current portfolio. Recognizing an emerging segment in the luxury market, in 2015 Montage launched Pendry Hotels & Resorts – a new luxury brand that allows for growth while preserving brand integrity. Pendry has garnered great response from the start, showing Montage International’s acumen in delivering luxury offerings in market context.

Montage recognizes the importance of residential and other compatible uses to the ultimate success of each individual hotel; therefore, a primary driver of the Montage International business model is our residential platform. Montage has developed core competencies in residential design, development, sales and marketing, and service delivery and is committed to best-in-class luxury custom residential products for our Montage and Pendry brands.
